Chel White’s “Jingle All The Way” Accepted at Annecy 2012!

I have some very exciting news!  Chel White’s animated Christmas special, “Jingle All The Way,” which aired nationally on The Hallmark Channel, this past winter, has been officially selected as one of only two tv series to screen at the animation festival Annecy 2012!  This is like the Cannes for animation , people!  Congratulations to Chel White, Tsui Ling Toomer, Bent Image Lab and all involved!  Cannot believe my voice is going to be heard INTERNATIONALLY:-)

Hello Everyone!  I am proud and quite pleased to announce that I will be teaching  a summer course at St. Mary’s Academy, in Portland, Oregon!  I am a proud alum of the wonderful St. Mary’s Academy(graduated class of 1999) and am thrilled to be returning there this summer.  I’ve been working hard at making connections and getting myself out there and it is starting to pay off:-)  Here is the information and feel free to share it with anyone who might be interested:

No, no, no, it’s not what you think!  I promise.  A few people got in touch with me after finding me in a photo on Molly Sims’ blog, how random is that?!  Fun, though.  It was a special on “Mismatched Bridesmaids Dresses” and a photo from my cousin’s wedding(my cousin is wedding photographer, Meg Perotti) was featured.  Take a look:

Pretty cute, eh?!

A Couple Things…

Well, it has been a little while since I last posted, so let’s see…where do I start?!   The Hallmark Channel’s  “Jingle All The Way” was a huge success!  I feel incredibly honored that I was chosen to be a part of this project.  It gave me some incredible experience with voice over work, and I am thrilled to have it on my resume.  Here are a few reviews of the project, one of which came from The  New York Times, thankyouverymuch :-)

There is even a freakin’ App for it!

I also have to say I am incredibly inspired these days.  My dear friend, playwright Claire Willett, wrote an amazing show called, “Dear Galileo”.  The show was staged at Artist’s Repertory Theatre, directed by Stephanie Mulligan,  as part of the 2012 Fertile Ground Festival.  Let me tell you…it was BEAUTIFUL!  It is such an exciting feeling to see a new work, and know it is going somewhere.  This play will be produced, no doubt in my mind.  It was intelligent, thought provoking, touching and relevant.  I am so glad I got the chance to see it, because it truly inspired me as an artist and human being.  Here are a few reviews:

Next on the “Morgan Agenda” are a few auditions for some local Portland projects, including the PATA Annual Auditions, held at Artist’s Repertory Theatre,  as well as some teaching interviews…wish me luck!  Oh yeah, and finishing my writing project, which will hopefully result in a storytelling performance! Stay tuned :-)

Morgan in new Holiday special for The Hallmark Channel!

Well, now that they are doing press releases about the project, I can OFFICIALLY talk about it…yay! SO. A few months back I had the opportunity to do some voices for a scratch version(much like a ‘rough draft’) of a holiday special, Bent Image Lab was working on for The Hallmark Co. They ended up enjoying my work so much, I had a door opened for me with their casting director, in Los Angeles. I booked the part of MOM in the new, animated holiday special, “Jingle All The Way,” set to air on The Hallmark Channel, in late November, 2011! I am VERY excited to be a part of this project. It is directed by Chel White, who has done many projects with Bent Image Lab, as well as on his own, most recently the film “Bucksville” which utilized a multitude of Portland’s local talent pool. Although I have done some voiceover work, in the past, this is my biggest booking to date, and it will be seen nationally! Morgan’s Video FEATURED at Glamour.com’s Smitten: Daily Sex & Relationships Blog!

I am so excited! A few months ago I read these “Dating Tips,” and I could not help but be amused at the thought of putting them into action. They were just so…ridiculous. Needless to say, since the thought of myself(or anyone, for that matter) actually acting these out made me laugh, I decided to make a funny video.
